The Fish is getting older.....I don't know I feel about that.

Here is the spread. I can't believe this day is already here.... and gone. He is finally two. And no longer such a wee tiny thing. He is saying things like "Ok" and "Cacas", Mommy Daddy, Puppie, Kitty (still comes out Titty).

He is using the potty. He loves Thomas the Train, and Blues Clues. He is getting so big and loves his brothers and sister.
He has been such a good baby. His favorite things is slides and swings at the park.

Getting ready....

The big surprise is what we have been calling it. This week I was packing while the things were in preschool. I only had one child to watch while I accomplished this seemingly small task of washing and packing all of our clothing for the trip:)

Here is what happened when I came back down stairs. No MORE NIVA!

Kids packed. Check.
Baby moisturized. Check.

I am thinking the need for a carpet cleaning is vital now LOL.

The big Surprise......

Thing2 turns 4

All week we told her over and over we were going to this big surprise. I couldn't believe how fun it was to do all the planning and getting them all hyped for the trip. We rented a car.

We rolled out and drove over to the land of Disney. Thing 2 all decked out in the birthday crown.
And Yes the best part of this pic is that all of them have their binks.(I know am the best mom ever. They get binkies and orthodontic work when they are older. )

The rest was just better explained in pictures anyways :)

Can you say potatoe bug? yeah we can find those at Disney in the planters! Only the things could find the creepy crawlies in the beautiful planters. Those suckers were large too.
It was so worth the two nights of aweful sleep and the next day we went to the beach. I would have taken pictures but i couldn't guarentee the camera would have made it through the sand and water that we encountered.

And there are some really funny signs we saw.

What is up with Sundays?

We got to church on time this week. Miraculous I would say so. Every week we expect fireworks from the kids. This week we got them.

I was sitting in church and my cellphone went off. No biggy right. So I silence it and lock the keys. Thing 1 pocket dials Papa Murphies, and oh YEAH the emergency line at the police station! How the heck did he get that number? I have a voice mail stating that they received a call from this cell phone and they gave me my exact location LOCATION! and the exact time they were calling me back. Then my son after the Sacrament meeting proceeds to leave the building while we are walking to classes. He went to the car and was trying to stay there while Primary was going on. Every week we just don't know what to expect. He still is stuggling to stay in class and not have total fits. I can't wait to see what happens next week. Now we just have school where he has been a totally good kid- go figure-

Weekly Drama

Every week we have a little problem getting thing 1 to go to his primary class. He has been screaming and whaling and having a heck of a time. The Band bribed him with a "toy present". Which seems to work well if you have a toy. Only we didn't have a new toy we had a new book for him..... not acceptable. I think we need to clue him in that it is a joy to attend church just for the love of the lord. He hasn't caught that vision. LOL

Last night I drempt that it was due to a degenerative disease. I hate the emotional response and energy that is required when you dream. All of it seemed so real and man it was awful! It made me really miss flying dreams.

I am stressed enough with not having an official perio*. I have enough paranoia about getting preggers with regular periods. I don't need flaky periods to increase the paranoia. I have been hanging out with a certain neighbor too much and we figure we are on the same cycle. I need her to start already!!!

I took a test again yesterday morning that was negative. I am now going to trust that one..... untill I start showing LOL. It doesn't help that Val my buddy called me about three weeks ago and told me her story of getting pregnant on the same birthcontrol that I was entrusting my uterus with.

The comforting thought for me is that I had a spotting session for about a day a week or so ago so maybe that was it for the month. We'll see where we are in two weeks. Ha Ha.

The Secret Locked room.... ohhhhh!

Once upon a long time ago like a year and two months to be exact we moved from a 4bdrm. To a three bedroom. We used one bedroom for us, one for our children :( and one for all the storage items we said we'd figure out what to do with (double sad face.) Now I am ready for it to be a bedroom for Thing 1 and thing 2 can chill with the fish still.
We need to down size our clutter it is just the economic times and it is really hard to keep this house running with the doom that has collected in that room. We have all the things kids can't get into. Like books we'd like to keep nice with little effort. The "secret locked room" has been great but it has served a good an noble purpose and it is time to shake things up. I will show some before and after pictures-maybe, but don't count on it. The band was getting some of the books listed on to Half.com I love that site. We found so many movies for so cheap there.

Anywho maybe I'll find my phone in all the stuff.

I really am so excited to see what crap ola sells on Ebay. All the rest of it is going to Craig's list. If you want something call me I probably have it.

Kinder Registration... again.

Palms sweaty....that's not new they nearly always sweat. But I am nervous for him. I just want to build a bubble of soft cushy love around him so if he gets his feelings hurt it will catch him.

To Scarry for words really....

This frightens me bad I am wigged out I tell you....

Look at what I found hanging out at the top of the screen of the Baby Other category on ebay.....
Seriously is anyone else creeped out by this? I mean sure baby dolls are cute but to make one that looks preemie and just way too real. I thought for a minute it was real and it made me click on it faster. But then I saw the pictures. Yuck. And totally freaked out. Thought I would share. Maybe the seller's photos will stay on there. So everyone can be grossed out as I am.

It is 6:23 and yes all. (Wait I am reaching and knocking on some wood) Of. My.Kids.Are.Sleeping. I do realize this means I am up with the whole gang again at 4:30 am :) but really I can get all my crap done and go to bed by ten tonight. Right? Wrong cause I am going to the movies at 10:20 with the girls. I can get in a nap before I have to go though that may help.

Oh crap I put thing 1 in my bed and no pull-up. Am I the only mother with a five year old that has this much excitement? Thing 2 doesn't wet the bed. But it is a hit and miss with Thing 1. So on the pull-up goes at night.

The Band is going to DC this next weekend to see a buddy of his and I am excited he gets to check out some cool stuff. I can't wait to hear all about it. Do I want to go? Heck yes I do. Do I want to fly to get there? HE__ NO. I hate flying. I don't know if the 18hours I spent on a plane being 7 months preggers with Thing 1 was such a good idea. Loved traveling on the ground. Hated flying in a plane with extremely swollen ankles.

I guess that is a post in itself.

So i can't wait to see the pictures and the sites from his camera lense :) I have been mad crazy on Facebook lately and have strongly considered some alternatives to tossing away countless hours chatting and chilling finding old friends. And then I think wow look at all the people I can find. This kinda scares me.

I really prided myself for a long time in being tough. I was such a Tom-boy growing up nothing scared me. Now it just take a preemie and facebook to give me the heebie jeebies. I am such a wuss.

I don't know what got into the water

I don't know if it was the water.... or the fact things are mellowing out around here but Thing 1 has gone from a total terror to angel child with in 48 hours.

This morning he is not beyond reason but i think the cold is getting to him. He came home and was crying at school. The art time/playtime dilemma again. He is so tired lately and I think the baby is waking him early. He does have that stuffy nose too.

He is crashed out on my bed right now. No fights no upsets.....weird. He fought it in the car but then I explained to him how our bodies need extra sleep when we have a cold. He was pretty good to just eat and crash.

He is getting his "evaluation" this next week I think.
We just need to nail what is going on.

I have noticed that when he has something to work for he does better. We started the Money in the jar thing. Every time we caught him being good he got money in his jar. When he was not so hot he got it taken out.

Buliding a City

One of our favorite playtime activities is to get out the tape (masking or some opaque tape) and map out a city block or a place we can set up a city or rail way. The kids love using the tape as roads and extra boxes to play city, airport, or Kitty kennel.

The kids love it and I love watching them invent other things that turn into stores, gas stations, McDonalds(only cause we live there :) and parks.

Running Running And More Running

Yeah there is this spunky little man who today in Church ran up to the frount and all the way back behind the speaker. Chasing him wasn't a good idea.

He is so spunky lately. Still a little clingy but honnestly trying to talk more. I worry about his speach being delayed like his brother but he has some older siblings that talk for him

He says very clearly "no" and not so clearly "I don't know" I love this little face so much....he has a high pitched shrill of a scream but I love his little guts.

My Band has been still sick but he seems to be doing good. We have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. Hopefully we can get some ideas about what is going on.

What has gone down in January.....

Well like my last post noted..... We have been sick. The Band got some really funky viral infection. It brought these symptoms, no one can figure out what he has.

*Fever
*vomitting from both ends
*Rash top to bottom
*body aches
*muscle soreness
* fatigue
*liver effects, Biliruben(sp) Build up
*swollen feet and Hands

Here have been some of the good "educated guesses"

*viral Hepitits
* Epstein Bar Virus
* Mono

Before we were sick we went and got us some cuts.

My baby boys aren't looking like babies anymore. Which only plays into my baby hunger.
The fish tonight was so cute. He has been calling me "Daddie" all this week. He was patting his pillow for me to lay down with him. He is trying to talk so bad.

Then there is Thing 1 I just want to kiss his face off. It has been really hard to be sick. And his schedule is all messed up. He has struggled but really has been a great big brother during the "rough times".

What Still Sick????

Yeah Maybe we are. SO what?? LOL. Maybe we still have kids with fevers, runny noses, and die-a-rear. I have no voice, and getting winded going upstairs. It is awesome!

Back to School

Just started on Saturday. Yes Saturday it should be a sin but the CC I am attending does offer classes on the weekend. What did I finally choose to take?

Begining Photoshop
Creative Web Pages

Both are going to show me what I am missing in my "professional life" or what I call my professional life. I should call it my alter ego where I am "the boss" of at least one thing.

I can't wait to start designing and creating a "portfolio" that is going to be so "TIGHT" I am noticing a trend of race and gender that are Graphic Communication majors. Interesting.

I got so excited when I came home from my Photo class about some computer software. Help me I have fallen into a deep-dark upgrade world. I love my MAC even more -if that is indeed possible.

Sickness has its benifits

We are making some progress on organizing and rearranging things around here. I am almost ready to make the transition from the small room to the larger room for the kids.

We have some serious purging to get done. Anyone need toys?

Update randomness

I have decided to come back. We'll see how that bodes with the things and the fish being sick.

Thing 2 broke her fever only thing left is the runs. The fish after he went throught the fever time he then had the runs for like four days and counting.

I have just felt like crap today. My stomach is gross.

My hubby just put internet on my phone so I can email and keep in touch like a fiend!!!
The kids are going stir crazy. I am ready just to get out since the weather has been so nice.

New baby News

My BIL just had a new baby. That adds another cousin to the one we just got in Dec. Congrats to the Family you all are keeping my baby hunger down to a minimum. And we hope all is going well.

So excited about the additions to the family!!

The phone is awesome and I can't tell you why I had one with out internet. It is awesome to get it on your phone people! Hopefully we can keep it.

Day three. Universal.

We went for a couple of hours to Universal Studios. There are some fun things there during Christmas. The Who's are inf full view with the grinch or as thing 2 calls him "the mean Monkey"

Thing 1 loved Shrek, and came away with a new fear of Sponge Bob Square Pants. Thing 2 didn't freak out but that is because the freaky little guy inside the suit didn't chase after her!!
LOL oh well I guess we won't be needing to get cable with Nickelodeon this year. :)Funny he really loved sharks.

I really think that if we go back we will do it when the kids are older.

Day two

We woke up early. Were dressed and ready by ten to get into the park. We had an I-Hop breakfast Thing 1 disappeared into the bathroom. Our table was in the back near said facility so it wasn't that big of a deal.... So we thought. The Band went to follow him.
As he describes it he saw. Sock, shoe, pants, shirt and underwear all yard-saled out on the floor of the bathroom. He had completely stripped in the stall. There wasn't anyone in there. But it did take a long time for them to emerge again from the bathroom.

We were across the street from the park and so we went in from there.
It was so fun.

We hit most of the rides and found that Thing 2 is an excellent driver.

Ok we saw this new attraction that was right by the rockets. It was fairy hollow or something like that. We stood in line for almost 45 minutes to see two- that is right two FAIRIES! No ride, no play place, nothing but photo opps with two---- FAIRIES!

Yes one of the faries was Tinkerbell. Still no consolation. I warn all of those that take their children do not fall into the "Fairy Hollow" trap!

Thing 1 was really excited to see the rockets. And finally we got him on them. My brother took him. Phew. I really hate those rides. They got off the rockets and I went over to see how he did. And he got off and said.
"Yeah that was cool, but not my favorite. Can we go and do the Dumbo ride again?"
We all laughed pretty hard.

He made it all the way up to the frount of the line of Snow White and heard some noise and totally bailed out.
They gave him a flash light at the last moment on Mr. Toads Wild Ride. It worked.
We went on Buzz light Year and the fish cried when he saw Zurg. But it wasn't that bad. Thing 1 totally loved it. Thing 2 loved Pirates!

Day One of the trip

We have been gearing up for this trip since forever. We made the mistake of telling the kids about it about two weeks before we went. I thought we would have some fun with counting down the days. They didn't know what we were in for.

Monday morning was filled with packing and washing laundry to pack in our bags. We snuck some gifts to give the children in a small checked bag. We had a friend take us to the airport. He was really sweet and I love his wife. She is the type of person I want to grow up to be just like. We got to the air port and ate some Cinnabon cinnamon roll, just before we hit the potties and boarded the plane. We were definately not in a big hurry.

On the plane I sat in the seats ahead of the three that were for my Band, and Thing 1 and Thing 2. I had the Fish with me on my lap. The kids pretended they were on the Little Einstien's Rocket and pretended to "blast off". Any one squemish abou the take off probably wasn't so happy about the gleefully yelling children, but it was only an hour and five minute flight to LAX. They dealt with it well.

We found our luggage. And I was mysteriously queezy after the flight. (I don't do to well on planes, trains, and any moving vehicle- one of pregnancy's gifts) The next step was finding my family.
I was ready to sleep and get everything settled in the hotel.

We found Grandma, Aunt L. and the three Uncles.

They were ready for the first taste of our Disney adventure.
So we dropped our bags off and packed ready for an evening of Fireworks and Christmas lights in the par.
This is what happened on the way from LAX to the hotel outside of Disneyland.

All were a bit overwhelmed with joy. When the Shuttle stopped we were all ready to party. When we were coming into the park and walking onto mainstreet Thing 1 was just so excited. There was that giant Christmas tree in the middle of Main Street.
Thing 1 quotes were.
"This is the fun of MY whole LIFE!"
He turned to the Band and said "Oh Dad I love you so much for bringing me here"
We watched the fire works. Thing 2 wasn't a fan of the big booms.
Then we hit the Carousel. From there it was to all the small rides that were generally empty. There was Pinocchio, and the Casey the train ride, and then off to the Dumbo ride. When we called it the heffelump ride it was better. Thing 1 hated Dumbo the movie because the Mama elephant went a bit crazy and started spanking those naughty kids.
The Band and The Uncles went to the other side of the Park and did the big kid rides for a bit. Then it was about 11:00pm and we were exhausted.
We headed back to the Hotel that reminded Aunt L of Santa's Village in the San Berdino Mountains.

Catch up time:)

Oh do i have some catching up to do! Get ready for some serious posting today. I have all the stories to tell and all the details to get down on the blog before I forget them.

Let's start with the Christmas vacation. We left town on the 22 and came back the 27th. I have so much to blog.

I think I am going to break it all down into different days. For different posts.

Absolutely Perfect

The past couple of days have been crazy. Church and kids are going better. I was able to sit through a full Relief Society meeting yesterday. The Fish is really clingy. I haven't had much experience with this and so it is really hard. Many days I have a leg accessory and sometimes I just set him on the kitchen counter so I can get some dishes done.

Baby Jesus Status : Missing In Action.

We have a manger, just no baby Jesus.

This week we started out good everyone went to school this morning. Mrs Thing 2 had a cold but really I didn't think it was all that bad. I guess we'll be keeping her home tomorrow though she really had a hard day. Usually she is in a good mood when going to school today. Not so much.

OHHHHHHH! More Universe LOVE from our fellow man.

I went to the door a couple of days ago. AND OH MY GOSH! There was a box loaded with presents, goodies, and a Secret Santa note.

We have been really trying to get this Christmas thing together with our financial situation being "skinny" and this suprise helped TONS! I love being the giver in these situations but man I can't tell you what a relief it was to be the reciever this year. I can't believe we are so lucky to have such wonderful people in our lives. I tried so hard to see who it was. And Catch them red handed. Only I suck at that, and Man They were fast. I was not far from the door. My heart is still all toasty thinking about it. It was great surprise. The Band and I were totally dumbfounded. And so grateful. They put so much time and effort into it. I can't wait to see the kid's faces when they open the stuff on Christmas.

Baby Smells

Happy Birthday Sweet baby!

6lbs and 11 oz.
He is adorable
Congrats Cass and Eric

School and Sugar

We have been decorating sugar cookies. Thing 2 likes to make them but she doesn't like eating them. She thinks they will give her a tummy ache. She is probably right. I could only eat half of a cookie at a time. They were pretty "sicky sweet" as my mom says. I need a new recipe for sugar cookies that are softer.

Today I went to the neighboring city to drop off Medical paperwork. Then I had an academic counselor's appointment which I was too late for. I needed to go to disability services any how to get the info from them on what I can and cannot do to help my academic progress ;) I have been attending since 1995 and need to have a paper to show for all the billions of credits I have collected. I need to see what will transfer and what won't.

I have been contemplating different roads to go down with my AA.
In no particular order

Nursing
Dental Hygene
Business
Graphic Design
Fashion
Finance
Auto repair
Legal Assistant

The last two were jokes LOL
I figure that owning my own business will lead me to probably choose something in the computer/business field.

I am really not interested in Dental Hygenist either. I think that I need some more counseling to narrow down the possibilities of what I want to get done here.

I could be done here by next year or so. That would probably be what I have been saying for the last 10 years. But now I have to take courses that are not online. I think that will help. We'll see what I need to do to get it all inorder:)

Warning you probably will demand pics. Satisfaction may be delayed

There are some things that have been on my mind lately. Driving though town you can see all the Christmas lights and displays that our neighbors have decorated with. We put all the ornaments on the tree last night. Well not all. We do have some from the salt dough pile that we started a couple days ago for the tree. I thought we couldn’t find the Christmas Bulbs so Thing 2 and I were frantically trying to put tons together. The next day we got Thing 1 in on the action. He was pretty funny. He wanted to do a family of snakes. So we have some snakes as decorations on our tree. They aren’t toddler friendly so some have been broken.
OhKay Now here is the big reveal. I have done our family in dough. Each child has a dough person that is errily just like him or her. Including the fish with his extra plentitude of CRANIUM. It is hard to tell which ornaments were done by me and which are done by my three year old. If it gives you any indication to what type of quality we are talking about. ☺
We have some fun items such as a horn, Chirstmas trees, and the ever popular stars. But this year I thought I would try reindeer. They came out looking like they were walking across the street and head lights just snuck up on them. They look just a little “alarmed”.
I wish I could take pictures of these monstrosities but I have a feeling they are going into a very special shoe box and spending future Christmases with us.
One very talented friend of mine has been assisting me with the creation of Pine Cones. Anyone who frequents the site Kirsty is well aware of what I am talking about. They were quite popular and I can’t stop looking at them;)

what? me decorating?

Bringing out the Holiday Décor
All day I have been yelling things like……

“Stop touching baby Jesus!”
“That’s it Who took baby Jesus from the stable?”
“Ok Thing 1 you get baby Jesus for five minutes and then we share and switch.”

This is going to be a long 21 days let me tell you!

Thanks Giving

Our Adventures in Utah were so fun this past week. We saw a light display that was hooked up to a local transmission of Christmas Carols. The lights were set to the music and it was SOOOOO awesome!

I want to do it to my van ☺

We went to a place called Kangaroo Zoo. We went to the lights on Temple Square. I love seeing them.

It has been awhile since we have seen all our family. It was so good to visit everyone. Oh and the family has a new addiction to the "train game". I found more Blogs to follow while we were there too!

My children made a note that my house was not clean after spending almost a week in a “clean house” Thus the new sign over my entry way now reads

“Welcome to My Interpretation of Clean”

Today we are cleaning a good deep clean. I have been behind on a lot of things around the house. Today we caught up on many of those areas. I still have a deep dread and loathing of laundry. ☺
